Our recent Simon Howie 5k Puddin’ Race and Fun Run brought together runners, families, friends, and plenty of familiar faces for a day that celebrated fitness, fun, and community — with a Simon Howie twist, of course.

Huge congratulations to our Operations Director, James Tree, on winning the recent Great Adventure Race 🏆
In true James style, he started the day like any other, with a 4am shift in the factory! Before heading off to take on an epic 100km challenge...

🏃 24km run including Ben Vorlich
🚴 72km cycle back to Gleneagles
6 hours and 3 minutes later:
🥇 1st place
⏱️ 34 minutes ahead of second place
Even more impressive? James headed into the cycling stage sitting in second!
James says it’s one of the toughest events he’s taken on yet. From where we’re standing, it sounds like a pretty normal “day off” for him 😅
With Simon, Lynne, the kids and the rest of the family there to cheer him over the finish line, followed by a well-earned celebratory dinner (including a haggis course, naturally), it sounds like a pretty good way to spend a Saturday.
