While we must begin to say goodbye to the Summer that never was (bye bye BBQ Range – miss you already) Tesco has given us lots to say hello to! Here’s what to look out for and add to your weekly shop…

BEEF BACON

Following the successful launch of our Premium Unsmoked Beef Bacon Medallions into Asda in April. Tesco has now launched the Premium Smoked Streaky Beef Bacon AND the Premium Unsmoked Streaky Bacon. It is great to see the innovative range expand into the marketplace but it’s no real surprise following the seal of approval from the 2024 Great Taste judges! (Unsmoked Streaky & Smoked Medallions both won stars this year!)

For those still to try it, beef bacon is an exciting alternative to normal bacon (we looovvveee normal bacon but a change is nice too) it is quick cook and easy to use in sandwiches and baguettes but also makes a great ingredient in pasta, salads and stir frys.

VEGGIE SAUSAGES & VEGGIE BREAKFAST PACK

Tesco have not only relisted these two veggie favourites, they have also given me a huge part of my day back as I will no longer have to answer all the messages we receive complaining that they can no longer buy these meat-free must-haves! Win Win!!

The Veggie Sausages were always a big hit for a veggie cooked breakfast or evening meal and the Veggie Breakfast Pack is like the greatest hits album of our Veggie Range – featuring the Veggie Sausages, Veggie Black Pudding & Veggie Square Sausage.

REDUCED FAT, GLUTEN FREE BLACK PUDDING

With the ever-growing popularity of our Wee Black Pudding and Classic Breakfast Sliced Black Pudding we have made a name for ourselves in the black pudding world! Therefore it became really important to us to develop a black pudding that even more people could enjoy. One that was less naughty and crucially gluten free! We never bring out an alternative unless we believe it tastes as good as the original so this product took us years to develop and a special #reformul8 grant from the people at Food & Drink Federation Scotland. Thanks to the inclusion of bacon this innovative black pudding tastes as good as the original but with reduced fat (& salt).

Customers of Asda have been stocking up on the Reduced Fat Gluten Free Black Pudding since April and now Tesco are stocking it too!
