ingredients

1 pkt Simon Howie Premium Steak Lorne

1 pkt Simon Howie Premium Pork Sausages

4 FrozenPotato Waffles

2 Cans of Baked Beans (830g)

100g of Cheddar Cheese

Please note: You also need two heart-shaped cutters for this recipe. One medium and one small.

Method

1. Preheat your oven to 190°C (170°C for fan-assisted/ Gas Mark 5).
2. Arrange the sausages in a casserole dish, drizzle with olive oil, and bake for approx. 15 minutes.
3. While the sausages are cooking, grate the cheddar cheese.
4. Using heart-shaped moulds in two sizes, cut out one large heart from each Steak Lorne slice. Then, with the smaller mould, cut out small hearts from the leftover Lorne.
5. When the pork sausages are nearly cooked (after about 10 mins), remove the frozen waffles from the freezer and place them on a chopping board for 3-5 minutes.
6. Next, using the larger heart mould, cut out the centre of each waffle, discarding the heart shapes and keeping the rest of the waffle intact. Be cautious during this step, as although softening, the waffle will still be frozen. Apply enough pressure to cut through the waffle while being careful not to damage the cutter or yourself!
7. After preparing the waffles, place a large steak lorne heart in the centre of each waffle.
8. When lightly golden, take the pork sausages out of the oven, slice each sausage into 3 pieces, and return them to the casserole dish.
9. Add the baked beans, mix well, and add the small steak lorne hearts around the casserole. Sprinkle on the grated cheese, then arrange the 4 waffles on top.
10. Bake everything for another 30 minutes or until the potato waffles are crisp and golden, and the Steak Lorne is thoroughly cooked.
11. Serve hot and enjoy!
