You can have a cooked breakfast in your belly, no matter what day it is because the days of the fully cooked being a weekend treat are over.  We’re here to tell you how one breakfast fan shared a slow cooker fully cooked breakfast hack that will have you enjoying all of the glory of a hot brekkie with next to no fuss.

Think we’re exaggerating?

You be the judge!  Rose Bowlers lit up the internet by posting an image to her social media from a group called Slow Cooker Wonders, showing a hot breakfast being cooked in a slow cooker.  Stop the insanity, you say?  Well, hold on… Could there be something tasty behind this madness?  When we tried out this hack ourselves (okay fine—we didn’t try it ourselves), however, it did get us thinking that it’s actually pretty feasible! So if you’re looking for an easy way to cook breakfast without waking up at 6 am every day or doing much work at all on your day off, then this hack is for you.

Here’s How…

All you have to do is pop your tomatoes and beans, your eggs and mushrooms into separate mugs, top with a knob of butter and then layer your meat around the outside of the slow cooker. PRO TIP:  Wrap your bacon into rolls and position the rolls, around the outside of the mugs so that they crisp up nicely.  You can even position your sausage links between the cups…Because…Well, the more sausages, the better!  And while you’re at it, try cramming in some black pudding and sliced haggis too!

Then just turn on your slow cooker, choose your setting (low heat for between 4- 8 hours), head to bed and when you get up in the morning…Voila!  It’s ready to serve!

This hot breakfast hack is a unique solution that may just change the way you prepare breakfast during the week. It’s simple, easy to implement, and gets good results. Granted…this technique has its flaws (what about the toast?), but we say don’t knock it until you’ve tried it!  We highly doubt you’ll ever need another method to cook up a hot breakfast on a weekday!
