This year we are launching a haggis hunt with a difference as we are scouring the country for lads and lassies that fly the flag for the national bard, using just their name, 365 days a year.

A limited number of boxes are available. Approx. 100 in fact. If more R. Burns enter than we have boxes for we will draw winners out at random, therefore being called R. Burns and entering our competition does not guarantee you a prize box.
2. The social media account used to enter the competition must be assigned to a R. Burns ( it doesn’t matter what your first name is as long as it starts with R!) The account must state R. Burns or equivalent on the day of entering the competition and when the winners are selected between the 20th – 23rd Jan 2023. If you changed your social media name to be in with a chance of winning a box we recommend not changing your name back until after Burns Night to ensure you don’t forfeit your chance to win.
3. To successfully enter the competition and be in with the chance of receiving one of our Burns Boxes you must.
i) Follow Simon Howie Butchers on facebook or Instagram or both

ii) Have an account that clearly states your name as R. Burns (or equivalent) on the date you enter the competition right up to and until the winners have been picked and prizes sent.
iii) Enter the competition by doing a post on either facebook or instagram that states the caption ‘I am R. Burns. Gie me a #freeHowiehaggis’ OR I am R. Burns. Gie me a #freeHowiehaggis #namechange’ if you’ve changed your name to enter.
iv) Direct message Simon Howie Foods via facebook or Instagram or email us at marketing@simonhowiefoods.co.uk with your delivery address and contact phone number. Your address must be a UK mainland address as we cannot courier the boxes to any areas out with this. Please ensure the address you give us will be an address that can accept delivery of the box on Tuesday 24th Jan.
v) Please note your post will need to be public in order for us to see it and for you to be successfully entered into the competition.
Facebook (single posts can be made public): Tap the top right of the post and select Edit Privacy. Select a new audience from the options that appear and select Public.
Instagram (account must be public): On your profile, tap the button in the top right corner, select settings. Tap privacy and ensure the box for Private Account is unchecked.
4. Winners will be notified by Monday 23rd Jan and boxes sent to arrive on Tuesday 24th Jan ahead of Burns Night on the 25th.
5. The competition is open to residents of the United Kingdom, aged 18 or over.
6. No entries from agents, third parties, syndicated entries or those made using methods such as a computer macro, script or the use of automated devices are permitted and no bulk entries.
7. No purchase necessary, however internet access and a valid social media account is needed.
8. Enter between 00:01 GMT on 4th Jan 2023 and 22:00 GMT on 20th Jan 2023 inclusive.
9. Prize is non-transferable, non-refundable and there is no cash alternative.

Name change instructions:
To change your name on Facebook:
1. Review the facebook name standards
2. Click your profile picture in the top right of Facebook.
3. Select Settings & privacy, then click Settings.
4. Click Name.
5. Enter your name and click Review Change.
6. Enter your password and click Save Changes.
Please note, on Facebook you can only change your name every 60 days, although there is a work around that you can google 😊
To change your name on Instagram:
From mobile:
1. Tap your profile picture in the bottom right to go to your profile.
2. Tap Edit profile.
3. Type in your new name and tap Submit.
From computer:
1. Click your profile picture on the left.
2. Click Edit profile.
3. Type in your new name and click Submit.
