Quick and easy delicious beer battered black pudding fritters. Perfect in a roll topped with an egg, or how about adding a twist to a goat’s cheese salad?

ingredients

125g plain flour plus more for coating

1 egg

250ml of beer

1 x Simon Howie Wee Black Pudding

Pepper to taste

Oil for frying

Method

  1. Cut the wee black pudding in to chunks – removing casing.
  2. Mix together flour, egg, pepper and beer.
  3. Coat black pudding chunks in flour and then cover in batter mix
  4. Shallow or deep fry until golden.
