You’ve heard of Egg & Toast Soldiers, so here’s an idea… why not move those soldiers up a rank and use square sausage slices instead?
1. Cook the square sausages as per the pack instructions. Pan fry or grill – whichever you prefer! – taking care to turn occasionally and make sure it is cooked evenly on both sides.
2. Meanwhile, bring a pan of water up to a boil, then lower to a simmer. Add the eggs to the pot and then set your timer depending on how runny you like your egg! We find five minutes is best for an egg-ceptionally dippable runny yolk, or 6-7 mins for those who like the yolk to be a little more sticky.
3. Once the square sausages are cooked, slice them up into regimental soldiers, serve up and get dipping!
