After 19½ years working in the Auchterarder Shop, Billy is retiring from Simon Howie.
Billy’s retirement sees him stepping away from a career in butchery that has spanned 50 years!
Billy started as an apprentice butcher back in 1976 and, at just 16, he fell in love with both butchery and his beloved wife Maggie, who he met there!

5 decades later he’s ready to retire and spend time with his 4 grandchildren, enjoy lots of holidays and see what it’s like to have Christmas Eve off for the first time since 1975!

Billy, thank you for the last 19.5 years! For your skill, customer service and humour. With the shop sadly closing next week, it’s very safe to say it won’t be the same without you.

Enjoy your retirement, Billy – you’ve certainly earned it! 🧡
