Spooky Mummy Sausages

ingredients

1 pack of Simon Howie Jumbo Dogs

250g puff pastry

1 medium egg

50g plain flour (For dusting worktop)

 

Tomato sauce for faces (Or your own preference!)

Method

1. Pre-heat oven to 190°C/ Fan 180°C/ Gas Mark 6. Dust the flour across a clean kitchen work surface and roll out the pastry using a rolling pin.

2. Using a sharp knife (be careful!), slice the rolled pastry into long strips, approx. 0.5cm thick.

3. Wrap the pastry around each sausage to create a mummy-wrap effect.

4.  Place on a tray lined with baking paper, brush with beaten egg, and bake in the oven for 18-22 mins.

5. Once ready, remove from the oven and use a small amount of ketchup and a cocktail stick to create a little face on the top of each sausage.

6. Serve with more ketchup, or sweet chilli sauce to dip!
